Sync your bluetooth card reader to your Blackberry device

To Sync the Bluetooth reader for the first time:

Before you can connect the card reader to MerchanWARE Mobile you need to make sure your Bluetooth is enabled in your Blackberry Bluetooth settings.

1. From the Blackberry home screen select 'Bluetooth Set Up'
2. Hit the Blackberry menu key and select 'Enable Bluetooth'

Once Bluetooth is enabled, the next step is to connect the card reader to MerchantWARE Mobile.

1. Exit the Blackberry Bluetooth Set Up screen and open MerchantWARE Mobile.
2. From the MerchantWARE Mobile Main Menu screen select ‘Settings’.
3. Click the ‘Find Card Reader’ button. Make sure the card reader is powered on while the Blackberry device searched for it.
4. The Blackberry should display a new ‘MAGTEK’ device that has been found. Select the new device. You might be prompted for a numeric passkey which is ‘1234’.
5. Once the devices are paired the MAGTEK card reader will be listed as a connected on the ‘Settings’ screen.

(Please note that a retractable USB cable is provided with the Bluetooth card reader. This cable is to be used to charge the card reader by connecting it to any computer)
