Test mode and test transactions - Android

To enter Test Mode and run test transactions through MerchantWARE Mobile on your Android device, follow the steps below.

Test Mode

Turning test mode ON will allow users to use MerchantWare Mobile with a TEST account and transactions will not be processed. This feature is only meant to allow users to take MerchantWare Mobile for a test drive or for troubleshooting purposes. When the device is in test mode, a red stamp that says 'TEST' will be displayed on the screen. If this stamp appears, test mode is ON and live transactions are not actually getting processed. If there is no red 'TEST' stamp, test mode is OFF and transaction will be processed.

To turn test mode ON:

  1. From the Main Menu screen select the 'Settings' option.
  2. Check the Test Mode checkbox.
  3. When prompted to confirm that you want to use the device in test mode press ‘Yes’.
  4. Click ‘Save’.
  5. You should see the red ‘TEST’ label in the background of any screen you access going forward.

To turn test mode OFF:

  1. From the Main Menu screen select the 'Settings' option.
  2. Uncheck the Test Mode checkbox.
  3. Click ‘Save’.
